"This is a magnificent journey you're on. Don't be afraid to explore unfamiliar territory. If you do happen to get lost, you will stumble across some of the most interesting discoveries you will ever make. Wander down roads you've never taken before or ones you'll never chance upon again. Life isn't a travel guide to follow. It's an adventure to undertake." ~ Alin Austin

"I've come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint-and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard and also allowing the energy of the universe lead you."

Who, What and Why
We all have a story to tell, each and every one of us. yet somehow we are silenced from telling our story or we tell it as if it happened to someone else. These stories make us "who" we are today. They are the "what" behind our actions. They are the "why" that leads the journey.
Who are you showing up as? What makes you do the things you do? Why not take the next step? These are the questions I ask myself each day to set the stage for my journey.
You see, we all have characters, aspects of ourselves that come out to "play" when we least expect them to. Sometimes when we really don't want them to. Certainly, when we think no one else is watching. Who among them is most aligned with our authentic selves?
When faced with all the information we are faced with in today's world of multimedia at your finger tips morning, noon and night, what do we do? Emotions are expressed by other human begins that we ourselves are not yet able or willing to express. What do we do and how do we do it?
Why? Why oh why? We ask these questions in times of sorrow, in times of needs and wants. Sometimes perhaps what we should be asking is not who or what but rather why. Why can begin the journey of a soul across the road map of life.

Open Up
We need to open ourselves up for the opportunities that we seek to come to us. If we are closed off, then all the wealth of gifts waiting for us will never be fully realized. It is easy to shut ourselves off and close up when disappointment, hurt and fear are so easily found around every corner. While it would make sense to protect ourselves from all the dark, if we close off to the dark in turn we close off to the light. We must be brave to be open. We all have the ability to withstand that which comes along. Inside every challenge is an opportunity for growth. With growth come great gifts and more opportunities. Sometimes these opportunities are not what we wanted or expected but in time prove themselves to be exactly what was needed. The universe has a way of working everything out. So today and every day, be open. Be open to all the possibilities. Be open for all the wealth of gifts awaiting you.

It's Been Awhile
It has been awhile since my last post. I sit here and wonder why. Best I can come up with is that I have become disenchanted. I am sure more to come but I at least felt I needed to make some entry to account for the beginning of me perhaps coming out of the fog.
We shall see...
We shall see...

Good Enough
How many of us find ourselves saying something about ourselves isn't good enough? Whether it is our effort, how we look, our home, our jobs or our very selves, we seem to somehow find it's not enough.
What is enough I ask then? When we let our ambitions overshadow our small successes we render ourselves not good enough. It is only in that moment that we are not good enough.
Our efforts are always good enough so long as we try and continue to try. We are beautiful just as we are and it's time we realize that. Our homes and our jobs are not who we are or for that matter a represenation of who we are. They more likely are merely a matter of survival.
Who we are at our very core being is always good enough. We must continue to strive to find our personal truth in that we are good enough just the way we are.
I challenge you to embrace your small successes as if they were the single greatest accomplishment you've experienced thus far in your life. I challenge you to embrace yourself with all the love and compassion you show others.
I assure you if you take these few baby steps towards realizing you are good enough in every way, you will find yourselve nodding your head in agreement with me as you re-read this post later on, say in 21 days.
It takes 21 days to create a habit good or bad... why not spend the next 21 days developing the habit of believing you are indeed good enough.
Take this next step and believe as I do that you can indeed do it!

What is feared?
How are we living our lives around and/or because of fear?
This is how we find out about ourselves. We explore our fears. We learn one fear at a time and we find the stepping stones to a place beyond that fear to a better place.
What does that place look and feel like? Take a moment out of each day and reflect upon that vision. Put all your possitive thought into that dream for mere moments a day and I promise you will know change.
A profound shift takes place when we act in spite of our fear rather than react because of it. This is the moment that we realize we can do it!
Take this next week to explore fear's presence in your life. Learn from your fear. Take one step with faith alone as your guide... You can do it!
